Matt Cardle is a multi platinum selling recording artist who has sold over 2.2 million records since winning The X Factor’s highest-rating series ever in 2010. Matt stunned over 19 million viewers with his breathtaking four-octave vocal range. Matt’s debut single, ’When We Collide’, sold over one million copies and was recently named as one of the biggest-selling singles of the past decade. The song spent three weeks at #1 and was nominated for Best British Single at the 2011 BRIT Awards. This was followed by the #6 Gary Barlow-penned ‘Run For Your Life’ and the infectious duet 'Loving You' with Spice Girl Melanie C. Matt has released four studio albums to date; ‘Letters’ (2011), ‘The Fire’ (2012), ‘Porcelain’ (2013) and ‘Time To Be Alive’ (2018). Matt’s theatre credits include: Huey Calhoun in Memphis (Shaftesbury / WhatsOnStage Best West End Debut Award) in 2015; Wally Strand in Baz Luhrmann's Strictly Ballroom (Piccadilly) in 2018 and Pilate in Jesus Christ Superstar (The Barbican) in 2019. In September 2013, Matt performed ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’ in Bali at Miss World in front of an audience of over two billion. Matt’s performance of this song was voted the third best moment in the history of The X Factor, viewed over 60 million times on YouTube. He has spent the last three summers performing as guest vocalist with The Trevor Horn Band. Resigned to Sony Music, Matt's most recent album ‘Time To Be Alive' is a collection of 14 songs that showcase his new found maturity as a singer, songwriter and musician. The lyrics are deeply personal observations on addiction, redemption, atonement and eventual contentment; fusing electronica, gospel, rock and soul. All but one of the album’s 14 songs were co-written by Cardle. They reveal a portrait of an artist struggling with personal battles, but ultimately winning the war.

London-based, Glasgow-born, guitarist Matt Pearce is an original member of the successful hard rock outfit Voodoo Six (formed back in 2005). Matt has released five albums with V6, the most recent recorded in L.A. at Steve Vai’s “Mothership Studios”, and their latest studio album is underway.

This debut album’s heady brew draws from the full range of Matt Pearce’s influences and passions: rock, blues, funk and soul!

“I can’t wait to share this new album with the world,” grins Matt, with a gleam in his eye, “I wanted to combine the sounds that I love: rocking blues and funky, soulful grooves. All these songs came so naturally that I knew I was playing from the heart. I could call it a ‘Funky Soul-a-delic Blues Rock Jam Thing’, but you can just call it a seriously funky blues band, like the Black Crowes playing Prince songs, or vice versa…

“I was fortunate enough to work with the cream of the London blues scene to make this dream a reality, so to now be at the point of releasing this music is hugely exciting!”
A year ago, though, he found himself at a crossroads: “I felt disobedient… I felt defiant… And I felt like I had to mutiny… I’d always engaged with the bluesier, groovier songs from the bands I loved: bands like The Stones, Zeppelin and Free. Yeah, I was captivated by their relentless rock n roll spirit, but it was the rhythmic grooves in their funkiest tunes that I also loved. These bands had soul.”

Over a period of about 12 months, Matt started to write songs for the new project.

“These songs have almost written themselves,” Matt confesses, “They are songs that have become very personal to me: As if my inner voice has suddenly become much stronger. It wasn’t as if I stumbled upon these songs by accident: on the contrary, they tracked me down. I can’t stress how uncanny the experience has been.”

‘Gotta Get Home’ was mixed by Matt Pearce’s V6 bandmate Tony Newton, who produced Iron Maiden’s recent live release, “The Book of Souls”. The project draws together some accomplished guests and collaborators including Joe Lazarus (drums), Jon Moody (keys), Kez Gunes (bass), and female vocalist Acantha Lang.

If you’re looking for smokin’ hot songs to take YOU home, look no further: blues and soul-based ballads; tunes that bounce with a ZZ Top-kinda shuffle and swagger and songs that mingle the brandy of the damned with first-rate firewater, moonshine and soul. Check out Matt Pearce & The Mutiny, and ‘Gotta Get Home’. Cos when you gotta go to your musical home, you just gotta!

Aged 20, Pat stumbled across a band called Horslips. As Horslips were a Celtic rock band, the 3 brothers could relate to their music and quickly became big fans and later attended so many gigs that they formed a friendship with the guys in the band. The brothers soon swapped their Fiddles, Uilleann Pipes and Bodhrans for electric instruments and formed their first band called - Pulse, with Pat on Guitar, John on Bass & Vocals and Tommy (who was only 12 at the time) on drums. During an interview with Radio Luxembourg , Dj – Tony Prince, who remarked how young they all were, jokingly called them Mama's Boys - the boys changed their name. It was just meant to be an ‘of the cuff’ remark but the name stuck and soon the 3 brothers were officially known as Mamas Boys.

So quickly did they begin to win over their live audiences that soon they were invited to support almost every rock band that came to Belfast or Dublin . By this time, the brothers had released their first self financed album called “The Official Bootleg”. It was really just a demo that had been pressed onto vinyl and sold at their gigs. The first pressing of only 1000 (which had 10 tracks) sold so quickly that it had to be repressed time and time again (this time however with only 8 tracks). The album got the band noticed in England and in 1981 Mamas Boys were invited to tour the U.K. with Hawkwind. In 1982 the band released their second self financed album “Plug It In” which gained great reviews and spurned the hit single “Needle in The Groove”. Record labels were by now fighting over the band and this saw “Plug it in” repackaged and re-released in the U.K. by Ultranoise and by Virgin in France . Apart from headlining their own shows the band toured with Wishbone Ash and in 1983 they released their third album Turn it Up. By now the band were so popular that Phil Lynott personally asked them if they would be his support band on Thin Lizzys’ farewell tour which also included a slot at Reading Rock.

It was whilst signed to Jive that Pat first began to work as a session man for other artists which included a very wide range of acts such as John Parr, Tricky and Samantha Fox. (Pat is responsible for the guitar work on her hit single ‘Touch Me’ and she also covered a Mamas Boys song ‘Spirit Of America.’) In 1985 their 5 th album “Power And Passion” was released and after touring Europe in April and May they again headed to the States to tour with Bon Jovi and Ratt before briefly flying back to England to play the Knebworth festival with Deep Purple in front of 100,000 people. The tour ended up in Europe with Gary Moore and then onto Ireland by themselves in December of that year.

In the summer of 1984 singer Steve Overland and his brother, guitarist Chris (both

formerly of Wildlife) teamed up with drummer Pete Jupp (ex Wildlife and Samson)

and bassist Merv Goldsworthy (ex Diamond Head and Samson) to form FM. Joined

by the keyboard talents of Didge Digital, by December that year they had secured a

recording contract with CBS/Portrait and the band headed to Germany for a run of

dates with Meat Loaf.

Further tours with Tina Turner, Foreigner and Gary Moore built up the momentum. On

8 September 1986 FM released their debut album INDISCREET (featuring the hugely

popular single "Frozen Heart") to great critical acclaim and the year ended on a high

with FM supporting the white-hot Bon Jovi on their "Slippery When Wet" tour.

For the next nine years FM consolidated their position at the forefront of British

melodic rock, touring extensively as headliners and also joining bands such as Status

Quo and Whitesnake on tours to promote releases such as 1989's TOUGH IT OUT

album; TAKIN' IT TO THE STREETS released in 1991 (with Andy Barnett on guitar

replacing the now-departed Chris Overland); APHRODISIAC in 1992 and what was

to be their 'final' album, 1995's DEAD MAN'S SHOES with new recruit Jem Davis

(Tobruk, UFO) on keyboards.

In 2007 - after a 12 year sabbatical - FM were persuaded to return to the stage for a

'one-off' headline performance at a sold-out Firefest IV at Nottingham Rock City.

The rapturous reception from the fans at Firefest led to FM quickly making the

decision to record a new album and following a return to Firefest in 2009, in March

2010 FM released their much-anticipated sixth studio album METROPOLIS with Jim

Kirkpatrick replacing Andy Barnett on lead guitar.

FM haven't stopped since… Headline tours both in the UK and overseas, Special Guest

slots touring with Foreigner, Journey, Thin Lizzy, Heart, Saxon and Skid Row; festival

appearances including Download, Planet Rockstock, Sweden Rock, Graspop,

Steelhouse Festival, Frontiers Rock Festival, Hard Rock Hell and Ramblin' Man Fair,

and in 2018 their first-ever live show in the US at Melodic Rock Fest 5.

When not touring, FM have been busy in the studio and since their 2010 'comeback'

album they have released 2013's double helping of ROCKVILLE and ROCKVILLE II;

HEROES AND VILLAINS in 2015 and ATOMIC GENERATION in 2018 along with

INDISCREET 30 - a new 2016 recording of FM's classic debut album to celebrate the

30th anniversary of its release - and THE ITALIAN JOB live DVD/CD.

2020 brings FM's first Australian tour in March followed by the release of the band's

twelfth studio album SYNCHRONIZED on 10 April via Frontiers Music S.r.l. and UK

tour dates.

Switch to the accessible version of Box ›Tygers of Pan TangThe Story So Far...

What’s in a name? Well, quite a lot as it happens.
The Tygers of Pan Tang were an essential part of the movement that became known as New Wave of British Heavy Metal(NWOBHM). Signed to M.C.A records they recorded 4 albums in 3 years, toured the UK and Europe extensively, outsold ‘name’bands in Japan and had an ‘almost’ hit single with their outstanding arrangement of The Clovers ‘Love Potion Number 9’. They weathered the mini storm of theirfirst vocalist leavingafter one album andreplaced him with the toweringfigure ofJon Deverill. Against theirrecord companies wishes they employed an additionalguitarist, the mercurial John Sykes, who......well that’s another story. On the brink of following Def Leppard and Iron Maiden who had softenedup the USA, the bandimploded spectacularlywhen the Los Angeles based MCA refused to provide thesupport necessary to cross the pond and, without a doubt, cement their growing reputation stateside. And that could well have been the end of the story had it not been for Robb Weir, who had founded the original Tygers and continued to ‘believe’. Recruiting a set of musicianswho could not only perform the old tunes with the necessary reverence, but who could also carry the Tygers torch forward and make new music suitably fitting of the name Tygers of Pan Tang,he set about rebuilding their reputation. And the results? Well, employing the vocal talents of a singer from Italy (Iacopo Jack Meille) who has been able to command the respect of Tygers fans old and new (and there are plenty of new ones) a rhythm section (Gav Gray and Craig Ellis bass and drums respectively) who are schooled in providing the necessary propulsion to drive the music from stage to audience and yet another guitarist of unnerving ability and an intuitive feel for the Tygers music (Micky Crystal) , the Tygers star has begun to rise again. That reputation was cemented recently when they were awarded a gold album by their record company for sales and downloads of their most recent, self-titled, albumreleased just over two years ago. In support of that album the band have played South America, North America, Japan and throughout Europe. The Tygers have just finished recording their next albumto be releasedworldwidein October 2019. They will then begin a two year world tour.

Lyrically, the album explored social/personal, political and technological themes, among others highlighting the dangers of artificial intelligence and government intrusion.

“The true spirt of rock n’ roll is a relentless pursuit that consumes me on a daily basis. Chasing after it, making this record was a race well run” - Ricky Warwick.
Born in Newtownards, County Down, Northern Ireland,singer/songwriter/guitarist Ricky Warwick was cut from the cloth of a mill workers’ jacket. Raised on a diet of Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Thin Lizzy, Stiff Little Fingers, Motown and everything in between.

“I wanted to create an album that had the simplistic melodies of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers charged with the electric hedonistic fury of Johnny Thunders And The Heartbreakers.Recording the album as live as possible with a full band was requisite to achieving the desired effect”. Xavier Muriel (Ex-Buckcherry ) on drums and Robert Crane (Black Star Riders) on bass completed the core band and turned in stellar performances, giving the songs a real lease of life.
Also, once again,Warwick tapped some of his closest friends for guest appearances on the record, including Andy Taylor ( Duran Duran & Power Station) Luke Morley ( Thunder), Joe Elliott ( Def Leppard), Dizzy Read ( Guns n Roses ). Ricky also duets with his daughter Pepper on the song “ Last Place That I Look”.“I can’t wait for people to hear this album and to hit the road touring it whether it’s with my band The Fighting Hearts or just myself and my acoustic - it will be amazing. I’m grateful that after 30 years of making records my appetite for writing and playing is the same as it was that day all those years ago when I got my first electric guitar”
For those intrigued by the album cover it depicts a crash scene from the famous Ards TT Motor Car Race in County Down Northern Ireland. The race ran from 1928 until 1936 was watched by over 250,000 spectators annually. The embankment in the photograph that the spectators are on is actually a field belonging to Ricky’s Great Grandfather’s Farm which he grew up on for the first fourteen years of his life.
